Privacy policy.
Last updated 1 November 2026
This policy explains how the VPN for WINDOWS website ("the site") handles personal data. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies and similar technologies.
The short version
- The site has no forms, no accounts and no comment sections, so it does not ask you for personal data.
- Optional storage (preferences and analytics) is used only after you agree, and is off by default.
- All pages, images and scripts are served from this site. No third-party trackers, fonts or advertising networks are loaded.
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with .
What data is processed
Consent record (strictly necessary)
When you make a choice in the cookie banner, your browser stores a small record of that choice (which categories you accepted, and when). It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Legal basis: storing this record is strictly necessary to respect your choice, and it is our legal obligation to be able to show that consent was given (Art. 6(1)(c) and 7(1) GDPR).
Preferences (optional)
If you allow preferences, the site remembers interface choices such as the tab you last opened in the setup guide. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Analytics (optional)
If you allow analytics, the site may record anonymous, aggregated page statistics to improve its content. No analytics tool is currently active. If one is added, it will run only with your consent, and the banner will ask you again. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Server logs
When the site is hosted on a web server, that server may briefly keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) to keep the service secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept for a maximum of 14 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you (Art. 15).
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16).
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17).
- Restrict processing (Art. 18) and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).
- Data portability (Art. 20).
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before (Art. 7(3)).
- Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work (Art. 77).
Because the data described above stays in your own browser, you can exercise most of these rights directly: use to change your choice, use the withdraw button in the Cookie policy, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Children
The site is general information and is not directed at children under 16. It does not knowingly process children's personal data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects your choices, the date above is updated and the cookie banner asks for your consent again.
